The temperatures might be dropping but that’s no excuse to get comfy on the couch all winter. You can workout safely and effectively outdoors by following a few guidelines.

 

  • Exercise during the daylight to help prevent hazards you might not see in the dark, like potholes and ice.
  • Layer your clothing. Wearing layers with breathable fabrics can help ensure that your core temperature is not getting too high, which can be dangerous for your baby.
  • Warm up indoors first. Get the blood moving and muscles warm before heading outside.
  • Drink plenty of water. You might not sweat as much as summer, but that isn’t he only indication of hydration.
