December is a busy time of year for everyone. The holidays should be about fun and excitement but it comes at a cost.  The cost is ALOT of time in your schedule. During pregnancy, you and your baby’s health should priority. So it’s important to keep up with exercise no matter how busy your days become. Here are 4 tips to fit in your workouts during the busy holiday season:

  • Break up your workout throughout the day if you have to.  It is recommended to get 30 minutes of moderate intensity exercise on most, if not all days of the week. While getting 30 minutes all in one shot is sometimes easier, if you are low on time try to fit in 10 minutes 3x a day.

  •  Sneak in a workout when you can. Walking around your office building during your  lunch break counts! Make time to eat of course, but if you weren’t planning on doing much else, grab a coworker and get moving.

  • Exercise during t.v. time. While catching up on your DVR, do some squats, planks and pushups.(*) You don’t need much room or any weights to do these exercises so you can complete them anywhere.

  • Repeat here: Your and your baby’s health are priority right now. Say no when you have to so that you have more time for yourself. Take time to relax, breathe, eat well and exercise.
