The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) has restructured the Food Guide Pyramid.  Instead of the old pyramid form, it now takes the shape of a plate showing representative portions of the main food groups (fruits, vegetables, protein, carbs & dairy).  The new design is much easier to visual portion and I support it 100%.  For more information on the new “My Plate” visit the USDA’s homepage and click on the individual portions for more information.  And remember, dietary changes accompanied with exercise is a recipe for success!
